The little we keep, and why

No accounts, no shop, no games on this website. What we hold is what it takes to answer a phone call and keep a table for you.

Plainly put

Six questions, answered without hedging

What do you collect?
A name and a phone number when you reserve, plus the date and the number of people. If you email us, whatever is in your message.
Why do you need it?
To hold the table and to ring you if something changes. There is no other use.
How long do you keep it?
Reservations for thirteen months from the date, email threads for twelve months after the last reply, and financial records for seven years because the law says so.
Who else sees it?
The company that hosts this site and the bookkeeper who does our returns, both bound to keep it quiet. Nothing is sold and nothing goes to advertisers.
Do you keep a record of how I played?
Nothing of the sort. No login exists, no balance exists, and points live on a paper card that gets torn up at close.
What can I ask for?
A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion where we have no reason to keep it. If we handle it badly, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints.
Security

How it is looked after

The reservation book is paper and lives behind the bar, not on the internet.

Email is held in one account with two-factor sign-in and no forwarding rules.

Nobody outside the five people who work here has access to either.

If any of that were ever compromised we would tell affected people directly.
